A dermal filler is a gel formulation that is composed of hyaluronic acid, a compound which is produced naturally in the body and decreases with age.
This is a minimally invasive rejuvenating therapy which stimulates collagen
production in the skin.
It uses a device which contains fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin and cause controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds with collagen and elastin.
